Medium gold colour. Small and lively bubbles. Pronounced and developing nose with ripe yellow apples, baked lemon, brioche, butter, caramel, mushrooms, coffee and wet stone. Pronounced taste of ripe yellow apples, baked lemon, brioche, butter, caramel, mushrooms, coffee and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. An outstanding Vintage Champagne that is much more vital and lively than the original 2002 vintage. Needed 15 min in the glass to open. Drink now or over the next ten years. Goes well as an aperitif, or with cured meat or shellfish.

Gylden farge. Litt oksidert duft.

Honey, dried tropical fruit, ripe apples, citrus, minerals and autolytic character. Pretty good champagne, but a little too tropical for my taste. Recommend drinking now, found my bottle a bit overdue.

Consistent with my previous notes from a year ago. Well aged and integrated with a heavy toast notes. Hints of pudding, vanilla and citrus meringue on the finish.

Bought this on a whim. Figured given the age would be interesting. Coupled with an obscure producer. Golden honey in color. On the nose quite lush and showing some lees, honeyed fruits, marzipan. Good fizz still. Palate gives way to some oxidative notes, almond paste, aged vanilla, toast. Very full bodied and rich. For the price this is well worth it.

Deep golden, nose of dried apricots and honey. Very full taste with a good set of fruitiness to go with the well integrated acidity and slight tannic edge. Length improves markedly as it gains temperature in the glass. Perfect with food that's both delicate and sturdy.

This stands out much younger than the vintage indicates, actually I would say it needs some time to settle down still. Quite young expression on the fruit with maturing elements present; good length - but would like to see a bit more elegance to it. Overall great value/price.

Onion-coloured, but not the outer layer. The mousse is a bit coarse, but that is compared to Pol Roger and other fine-grained bubbles. On the nose there's dried apricot and mushroom. The taste has plenty of fruit in it, and the taste has a richness and length that is satsifying. Not at the level of vintage Bollenger or of Krug, but the style is a bit similar. The 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay have spent 18 full years on the lees, and a measly five months after shooting the dregs. A fine champagne from Côte des Bar.

So far one of the better, matured, champagne I have tasted. Great mousse, rich mature taste, brioche, dried fruit and almonds, superfine bubbles, long lasting.

Litt epleskrott i finish, men uten bitterhet.

What a treat. Rounded, easy bubbles, good age to it. Bees wax/nuts and butter. Just very very good. Should be enjoyed with full focus on the wine.

Mirror my previous note, but a clear pattern for me is that putting the bottle with Champagne stopper over night does improve the wine.

Fin duft av bolle og autolyse. Bakt sitron. Fint syrenivå og moden frukt på smak. Noe søtemodningstoner som honning. God lengde.
Veldig behagelig og god moden champagne. Konsentrasjon kunne vært bedre, men veldig bra.
