Juvenile and linear, begrudgingly opening up with strict lemon juice and yellow stone fruit notes. This has power, but stays in second gear for most of its stubborn evolution in the glass. All this needs is time, as it is destined to be a fine Corton Charlie with a few years under its belt. Lay these down for now. Sealed with DIAM, so time is on your side. 94++ points. Try again in 7+ years ideally.

Bitter stones, dark bitter earth, deep yellow fruits, and a dried hay on the palate.
This shows a lot of promise. Unfortunately, I think this was consumed way too young. Wait the proper amount of years these generally need. If I had to guess, 7-10 years. I see this showing much better with more integration when given more time. Might’ve killed a baby here.

sixth wine in the tasting at the estate and a WOW wine, even in this early stage. The wine has the depth, complexity, freshness, minerality and fruit & spice to go the distance. While this needs time to fully showcase itself, it is a tremendous wine. 94 hold for min of 3-5 years.

Nose: This is a barrel sample, but it shows off a lot of depth and class with tones of red apples, poached pears, lemon oils, acacia flowers, vanilla, jasmine, nutmeg, stone fruits, and mineral tones.
Taste: The feel is Full bodied with tart, medium+ acidity. The feel is beautifully textured and this is clearly youthful. It is well balanced and poised with classy tones of red apples, poached pears, stone fruits, nutmeg, jasmine, lemon oils, and mineral tones.
Overall: This was a barrel sample that I was lucky to taste. Clearly, this is extremely youthful but there is a ton here already. There is deftness and balance with a lovely, underlying minerality that I’m deeply enjoying.

Grandes Maisons Grands Crus - Grands Jours de Bourgogne 2024 (Santenay): Wow, excellent nose her with lemon peel, searing acidity and wonderful mid mouth presence. Herbs on the finish. Excellent. A clear buy.

Duck, duck, abortion!; 11/11/2023-11/17/2023: Aromas of washed stones, light and softly intense fruits, with almost a slight creaminess.

A bit closed at first, but opened up more in glass. Very good. Floral, spice, some honey. I feel like this will be much much better in 5-15 years.

Terroirs de Corton - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Cuverie Domaine Latour - Aloxe-Corton): Walk around tasting. Another highlight of this tasting. Unquestionably ripe, yet simultaneously bight and lithe. Bright and energetic with an enticing spicebox. Very good length. Needs until at least 2026-.
