Red cherries and plums, medium tannins. On palate slightly dry mouthfeel and some sour cherries, wisp of eucalyptus. Medium finish. Paired with some French Comte cheese.

I expected more character. Not too strong in the nose, palate round, harmonious and rather fruity. Not too much tannin or acidity. Went very well with pasta and tomato-based sauce! All in all good!

PnP. Color is a bit darker than other Chiantis I've had. Initially smelled like a bag of Twizzlers with a hint of vanilla and dried herbs. Medium-bodied. The palate didn't quite match; there was a bitterness on the finish and lacked the sweet fruit even though ABV was only 13.5%. There was no depth.

Italian Wine Scholar Class @ the Texas Wine School. Sangiovese w/ some Malvasia Nera, Colorino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauv. Med+ to deep ruby w/ a garnet hue. Med to med+ intensity aromas of red cherries, black cherries, black plums, violets, savory dried herbs, earth, leather, tobacco and sweet baking spices from extensive aging in barriques. Dry, with ripe fruit flavors, w/ med+ acidity, tannins & alcohol (13.5%). The body, flavor intensity & length are all med to med+ with a savory, balsamic finish. Juicy, well balanced and harmonious. It benefits from air & has the potential to improve with further aging.

The epitome of a blah wine. With air, I get ripe black cherry, oak and more tannins. I find none of the classic Chianti flavors coming from this wine. Blind I would guess cheap California Cab. Won’t buy again.

89/90. Has broadened out with great minerality and is much chewier with nice oak too in the last 6 months. 13.5%. Needs 60-90 mins aeration. Lay down 2-5 years or drink now with food.

Color: Medium to deep ruby. Nose: Dark fruit. A slight herbal component, as well. Mouth: Very good expressiveness and length. Fresh and juicy. Full bodied however nothing is heavy. The tannins are quite noticeable but in a good way. Would be perfect with any rustic meat dish. Quite elegant. After a while I can smell a bit of black licorice. Can be stored for many more years but I just like it how it is now.

A modern Chianti that leans toward the fruity side of things. A bit generic, but solid. Not sure if I could identify this blind as Sangiovese. Not rustic/earthy notes to find here.

89/90. Not as good as previous Nipozzano's at the moment. This is youthful, well oaked and rather four square. The tannin is a bit drying and unknit. 13.5%. Lay down 5-10 years. Needs 60-90 mins aeration.

Deep red without turning purple, some clearing at the rim. Smells of cherry and potent wood. With time in turns into sundried tomatoes. On the palate overripe cherry but turning into the cherry stone note that I often find in chianti. Nice acidity but I would’ve liked a bit more, I would also have liked more body even though tannin is noticeable

Local Wine Shop Tasting (My average score for April went way down) (Bloomington, MN): Boring wine. Lacks anything I enjoy in a wine.

Тёмный рубиновый цвет, полупрозрачное. В аромате чёрные ягоды, джем, ваниль, копчёные ноты, чёрный перец, кофе, чернослив. Во вкусе плотное, кислотность выше среднего, умеренные танины. 88/100

PnD violently. Let air for 30mins.
Ripe but still racy with great fruit mineral and herbal notes. Bounce back vintage.

Very modern. Way darker than expected, to the point it turns your teeth and tongue purple. Not sure how Sangiovese would naturally do that.
