Very solid Cabernet. My last bottle and I wish I had more. A real delight and no signs of deterioration at all. If you have this wine it still has a lot of life ahead of it.

nice Cab drinking great right now. Fruit forward integrated tannins Nothing special but very nice. Can hold for a few more years but why wait as I don't see it improving and it is very enjoyable now. Opened two bottles last night. the first was corked the second and last bottle was great.

A solid Cab that is drinking very nicely. Dense, dark, berry fruit. Tannic, yet nicely integrated and appealing on the palate. This 2004 is holding up very well.

Smooth and modest. Dark Fruit & berries, cassis, slight wood with some sweetness. Purple-ink color. Medium legs, Pretty good wine.blackberry, and Black currant (cassis). The best bottle yet, 90+ points.

My first bottle was probably headed south, lacked brightness (more a dull, gray brick like color rather than bright reddish purple) and was concentrated like stewed raisins or prunes. Second bottle was Solid 90+ point value. Elegant, black cherry and dark ripe fruit, and ready to a ready to drink NOW! Call it 90.7

Aromas of toasted oak and a little cherry. Full bodied wine with flavors of cassis, cherry, and oak. A big wine made for a big meal. To me the finish drops off too quick for the price tag. I guess I get more picky as the price goes up. This is a really good wine, but it pushes the limit on how much I want to spend versus my expectations. If $29 is cool with you drink it, but I think you can find two bottles for that price that will make you just as happy. ($29)

Popped and poured. Medium-plus dark purple/garnet, remains quite youthful in appearance. Expressive, perfumed nose redolent of minty, black currant...quite wonderful, and complimented by notes of blackberry, cedar, and a touch of vanilla bean. Medium-plus body, concentrated and silky. On the palate, the flavors of rich, ripe dark fruits are quite expressive. Although the fruit dominates, a nice undercurrent of cedar, toasted oak, and even a subtle sensation of minerals keep everything interesting and even refreshing. The tannins are smooth and refined on the moderate-plus finish. This is drinking beautifully at present, highly recommend opening up a bottle if you have a few not only for the experience but also because it's hard to tell whether this has the necessary components for further aging...probably best to drink in the short term. Worth noting again is how pure the black currant note is on the nose, quite impressive!

This wine is at a nice place in its evolution. I was a little worried about it being a 2004 as some wines from that super-hot vintage are already starting to fall apart. This one is just easy to drink in a pleasing and fairly uncomplicated way. Lots of rich dark raspberry fruit, very round tannins and just enough Mountain fruit acidity to give it a little backbone. Not overblown, just voluptuous.

Dark fruit & spice on the nose with some vanilla. Palate continues with dark fruit and some vanilla but very well balanced. Excellent acidity brings a rich concentrated lingering finish but a little gritty. Also some blackberry, tobacco, spice. I think this is a great Napa cab for $28 with lots of life left.

very nice, smooth bottle. lots of fruit and some tannin on the finish, went nicely with filet mignon for dinner but actually stood out nicely on its own. definitely an enjoyable bottle and good QPR at $25.

Based on two tastings. Pull and pour: Deep ruby. Bright fruit on the nose, but unbalanced, oaky and tannic, with almost zero finish. About the same after 2 hours. Would give it a 84 based on that. Day later (vacu-sealed overnight): Light prune, anise and intense blackberry nose. Velvety mouth feel, with just a touch of heat (14.8% alcohol, after all). Some barnyard, deep blackberry, a bit of burnt rubber and green peppers, with a nice long floral finish with subdued tannins. Very nice. I'm sorry I was forced to drink the first bottle (dinner) without enough time for the wine to develop. I imagine this wine would benefit from cellaring for a few more years.

Popped and poured. Deep hue. Blackberry, herbs, vanilla bean, and a touch of oak on the nose. Medium-plus body, with nice concentration. Palate is chock full of nicely ripened black fruits, black currant, dark chocolate, and hints of anise with additional notes of cedar developing in glass. Smooth and silky, the tannins are round and help carry the fruit on the plus finish. Very enjoyable, if lacking a little in the complexity department....(but who cares when it drinks so nicely?).

Popped and poured. Nose of blackberry, red currant, cigar box, spicy oak. Nice palate of blackberry, tobacco, spice, vanilla, and an unplaceable mineral flavor. Medium finish with sweet, soft tannins. Outstanding bottle. Screaming value at $25. Drink or hold.

Popped and poured. Deep purple hue. Nose of ripe black fruits, ripe currant, with some cedar and a touch of spice. Medium-plus body, with nice concentration. Expressive on the palate, the flavor of fresh-picked, nicely ripened mountain berries wrapped up in oak and accented with notes of vanilla bean and minerals. Palates are soft and supple and carry the fruit on the medium length finish. Very solid.

Primary, bright with promise. Good darkisk opaque color. A nose of red cherries and rubbed sage leaves. The palate is very primary. The fruits are of the red variety and its the full spectrum of them: Cherries, red-raspberry, plums, and more. A bit of 4 dollar coffee (Venti Vanilla Bean Soy Frappuccino Blended Creme). A slightly raised acid level and chewy tannis. This is a brambly wild type of cabernet. Its more like a barrel sample than a bottled wine. A moderate finish. This will be a very admirable drink in about 3 years. A great QPR for the patient, which I am....not. Snatched for $28.

Enticing nose of cherries, sage and cassis: really draws you in. Rich on the palate, silky but also crunchy, full of exotic red fruits: pomegranate, raspberry. Also sage, cocoa and some dill-like oak notes. Real primary: young and juicy. It's a little short on the finish but the tannins are sweet and well integrated. Probably not a wine for long-term aging but could use maybe a few years to integrate. Very good wine with lots of promise--only the second vintage for this producer.
