Very enjoyable, far better than I expected. Like the 06, but with a little less intensity midpalate. Plums and blackcurrant on the nose, with Asian spices and herbs, then a creamy, silky blend of plums, blackcurrants and dark raspberry, very elegant but with good body and length.

Farbe super.

Big wine. Well integrated tannins, inky black in color, nose of stone fruits and figs but not jammy. Has light earth, toast and graphite at mid palate But long lingering finish with big silky mouth feel.

Still pretty opaque in colour, just a slight hint of bricking. Decent amount of fruit on the palate with notes of cedar running through. Softish tannin and medium-short length. Will hold a while but probably in its optimal drinking window now.

Deep, dark, burgundy and full bodied VERY funky nose. Almost offensive but diminished over 90 minutes, Dry, well structured. Nice tannin. Medium plus finish. Cassis, hints bone marrow, Blackberry jam, Very nice wine with or without food. Decent value as well. I think this vintage is drinking close to its prime.

Third time I've tried this wine and for the QPR, I just don't like it. Initial flavours of Plum, Licorice and Marshmallows, sounds OK? But all the flavours are thin and lacking, it tastes watered down. As for length, it has none. Not impressed, will not be bothering with it again.

I agree with Jeff here below, his note was actually the reason of opening this bottle. Developed and entering its tertiary phase. Some red fruit in the back but leather, Tobacco and some fresh earth are coming through nicely. A mild bitter hint also, maybe the signature of the 07 vintage? This wine does remind me of old school 90s Bordeaux I had in the beginning of the 00s at my parents dinner table.

Fully developed, with a strong truffle and tobacco essence, the wines shows its red fruit character nicely. This is drinking at peak today. If you have a bottle, pull a cork, as it is not going to get better. The wine was made blending 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.

Clearly I'm a huge sucker for St. Julien wines - elegance and power in one bottle. Was quite surprised by this 2007 vintage - didn't expect to find that in my glass.
A lovely deep red colour, the wine stuck to the glass like glue. And that sweet and rich aroma which rose from the decanter, love it. But surprisingly, the best was the taste - very rich, very elegant, very powerful. Still that little bit of acidity in the flavour, which will disappear over time though. Right now, I do believe this wine at its peak for tasting, so uncork your bottles. Give it one or two hours in the decanter and then ready to enjoy.

Better than expected. The oak gives the wine a candy like smell. Good fruit with sweet tanins. A little simple but very good considering the vintage. Drink well right now with aeration and for the next 2-3 years.

I did not have high expectations for Bordeaux wines. Except that it will be expensive. This wine is correct, fruity and balanced. It is not complex, neither, a fruit bomb. Its greatest quality is to be accessible now.

We decanted the wine for 1.5 hours. It was dark ruby in colour and threw some sediment. The wine offered dark fruit, blackberry, plum, black currant, cherry, vegetal notes, cedar, leather, tobacco, liquorice and some chocolate on the nose. On the palate the wine showed dark fruit, dark cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, spices, liquorice, tobacco and some chocolate, with medium to medium-plus acidity, grippy and chewy medium-plus tannin, and good length. The medium- to full-bodied wine was reasonably balanced and kept improving with air. It was not really pleasant to drink at its current stage and still needed time, but showed some potential to improve with short- to mid-term cellaring. Respectable in the context of the vintage. Start drinking in 2016. 88+ for the time being.

Another bottle from a so-so vintage. The nose is enticing, with tones of cherries, currants, raspberries, violets, cedar, and hints of brambles and chocolate. Medium bodied, soft, and very smooth, yet shows impressive structure for the vintage. Offers lots of energy and gets juicier and tastier with air. Finishes dry and warm with copious amounts of juicy, red fruit. This was hedonistic. I found myself reaching for the bottle before getting to the bottom of each glass.
