Just like notes on 10/24/11. Last bottle of this. Really nice and will be hard pressed to find a qualitatively equivalent replacement. Great even on day 2.

From a Mag (last bottle). Nose: Earth and minerals juse like the first note on 9/20/09. Palate: Acidity is still present with the minerality. Just a great Rose. I have had subsequent vintages and they fall short of this '06'. Would not want to chance a 750, but in a mag still stellar with impeccable balance.

Pichon and CDP at Matt's (Matt's house): Salmon color. Nice minerality, herbs, and a bit of spice on the nose. Palate is consistent, but lacks much in the way of fruit. May be beginning to show its age. I would have liked to have had this a couple of years ago.

A friend brought this to dinner. I would not normally choose a rose this old. It was surprisingly good. Much more finesse than I'd expect, even in a more recent vintage. Good fruit/acidity balance, with a certain mellowness. Not a "strong" wine, but very nice. I don't know what it cost, but I would buy it again assuming the price was under $20.00

Vikings Sunday at John Glas house: Nose: Earth and minerals with some strawberry in the background. Palate: Crisp acid with hints of underripe strawberry and mineral. Linear and focused. While not quite a Tavel this is very well made and close to Tavel in style. I would buy again.

Pichon and CDP at Matt's (Matt's House): Nice overall but missing fruit. Spice, floral minerals and apricots with a medium finish.
