Great balance of richness and citrus, with a hard mineral backbone. Very versatile with food and delicious on its own. Had it at Church & State in L.A. for $62 and it held up with everything from onion tartes and black truffle pasta to moules mariniere and bouillabaisse... Ordered a case the next day ($19.90 a bottle on Wine Exchange) and plan to plow through it without delay.

Reminds me of a young Puligny Montrachet at an extremely accessible price! I am loving my French whites of late..paired well with Foie and crackers for apps.

more complete this time. beautiful shimmering purity, great texture and acids, just a lovely yellow baked apple filled wine. rich and mouth filling. Oddly, doesn't hold up so well into day 2. still quite good, but without the great freshness of day 1.

Budget Burgundies (Wine Exchange - Orange, CA): Pungent and high-toned, this delivers aromas of earth, anise, and sweet herbs. Some may find this dirty but the aromatics are really unique. Dense with sweet mineral infused fruit almost like it has a streak of earth or stones running through it. This is certainly unique but it may be a polarizing wine.

Have enjoyed several vintages as well, and like this one too. It is a little different -- more lemony and a little more minerally, although the tartness could be a function of youth. Very pure. Maybe less depth than previous vintages, but also less unctuous. Pretty good QPR at $24. I see I liked this better tonight than 6 months ago, which is interesting. I definitely wouldn't mind a few more bottles in the cellar.

First impression was of kabinett made from chardonnay. Super ripe and full-bodied, with mouthfilling concentration and what tastes like a good dash of rs. Roasty-toasty and reductive nose, with a dominant burnt hair component that never quite sits down. Settled down 2nd day and really presented more fresh as it aired out. Some nice minerality showing on day 2. Still, it's a pretty serious palate-stainer and appears to have plenty of material for aging. It's not quite in my sweet-spot for chardonnay at this stage, but all the same I wish I'd picked up a few bottles for the cellar.

Dressner Day 1 (NYC): Funky, earthy with a strange nose. This is a little freaked out, making it difficult to get a handle on. This is of course a good thing, but tough when you're tasting too many wines and trying to decide what to sell. Some chalk elements. 87-89?

And the 07 is another gem. Pears and lemon, a nice northern Macon, with that touch of weight. Super delineation and articulation, and that touch of RS which powers through and makes this a great aperitif. Clearly they're bringing the old Roally domaine along.
Good stuff!

nose is baked apples, citric and mineral. apples, lots of apples - late harvest and also a somewhat oxidative character. great purity, nice and fresh, good acidity, very nice wine.

Similar to past vintages, but my first reaction, which I think endures, is that I don't like it quite as well. Enjoyable, and I like it. A little buttery, lemony, puckery, some minerals, fairly full-bodied. For $23-24 just not sure I want to buy a lot more.

Light greenish gold. Restrained nose, eventually there's butterscotch, some fruit and smoky notes. Unsophisticated and there's not enough acidity for keeping this wine.

Evolving in a nice way but not built for a decade. Drink now and enjoy. One of the better French whites I've had in recent years, regardless of price.

Cirtus and floral flavors with a buttery note. Clean on the palet with a hint of stone. Nice lingering finish. A very nice wine for a great price.

Not terribly impressed. Decent, but too thin and austere for my tastes.

Nice crisp Wt. Burg. Nice crisp edge...made it very enjoyable. Agree with Tanzer's mineral bite on the back....which I enjoyed.
