My friend brought this back from Florida and stored it in my cellar until it was time to drink it. Wow, what a wine! For such a alcohol heavy wine, it has such finesse and grace. Bursting with cherry and strawberry flavors this wine finished long on the palate. Hopefully life sends more bottles of this to my table.

Solid the former, too bad they won't be making this wine (it was replaced with Fraternity – A BIG MISTAKE!) a strong 90 plus point AND A solid performer from the Stags Leap District. Big dark fruit, delicious, bittersweet chocolate, cassis, and the right amount of oak. A tannic, Stags Leap grip and I like it and it will be interesting to see how thiw wine evolves over time. 90+++

I believe I was looking to generous with the 92 rating on this one ( I'll blame that on my maturing pallet) however this is a very solid Stags Leap Napa cab for the money! Pleasant nose, fruit forward, dark berries, some what earthy with that traditional Stags Leap profile and getting better every time I try it. This Stags Leap cab can compete with others at twice the price. Give this one a very very solid 90 + points. Highly recommended.

Robust Stag's Leap Cab that gets better as the evening goes. Made the mistake of not decanting ahead of time. First few sips were a bit harsh. But a few hours later harshness had mellowed out (and so had I).

Classic Napa Cab. Decanted at least 2 hrs in advance and still got better as we drank. I don't agree with previous note saying this is a light, pinot-like wine.

Classic Napa Cab profile, and delicious. Decanted for about an hour and it continued to improve. Very good and ready, no need to wait. I don't know that it is made for the long haul and don't see it getting better.

This is a wonderful bottle nice structure good red fruit nose and smooth taste. Enjoyed this with skirt steak served with sweet potatoes and squash and zucchini. This was a wonderful pairing and would have this combination again.

Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of cedar, herbs du Provence, black berries and black cherries. Flavors of black berries, black cherries, a hint of currants and light notes of plums. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannins, full bodied. Hold 2 years and then drink from 3-8 years plus or minus.

Excellent Cab, incredibly smooth lots of fruit on the nose with a slight taste of figs on the finish. A great wine, wish we purchased more when we were in napa.

Trip to Napa Valley; 1/30/2011-1/31/2011 (Napa, CA): 97% cabernet sauvignon, 3% cabernet franc. Red berries, jammy on the nose, very light for a Napa Valley cab, slightly bitter tannins, medium finish. Fruit completely falls apart on the mid-palate to the finish. Disappointing.

I'm a big fan of Baldacci, but this is my first bottle of the IV Sons. It is their low end cab, at a little over half the price of the excellent Stag's Leap Black Label, and it didn't really impress me. A little raisiny, and didn't have the big cab flavor and plushness that their other wines show. Not bad at the price, but I would rather spend the calories on their other wines.

Much like the 2004 predecessor, this is fabulous Cali Cab and that will age nicely. Much to my liking, this Four Sons is a pop and pour. I honestly feel that this 2007 Cab is something special, a bonafied Stags Leap Cabernet that is flying under the radar and worthy of your consideration. . . . . . . Absolutely Delicious! (92 points for now and so young)

Standard CA Cab - typical markers on the nose and palate. Good value for Napa but overpriced vs Cabs or big wines from South America.

I love this Cali Cab. What a great QPR. Too bad they have replanted this vineyard with plans to use new production for a higher priced label.

Earthy nose, dark fruits and tannins well integrated, dry finish. Enjoyed with wine basted roast. Quite a bit of sediment, decant recommended.

Big rich dark stone fruits, meaty tannins, better after hour in decanter once it opened up. Cherry, mint, spice, chocolate. Great with a steak

Rich, characteristic Napa Cab. An excellent buy. Too bad Balcacci doesn't make this anymore.

This one is ready to drink now. Make sure to decant and filter for sediment. Cherries on the nose, plum and some raisin on the palate. Short finish.

Plush and velvety, plenty of power but tons of fruit and gentle tannins. Shows Stag's Leap terroir quite well.
Drink through 2017.
