Surprisingly approachable after 2 hours of slow ox + brief decanting. Full of life, with aromatic floral notes on the nose. Juicy, lots of dark cherries, tobacco on the palate. A relatively dark style; drinks well already.

Earthy and relatively restrained, needed air (slow ox for several hours, kept opening up with further decanting). Good minerality and lovely acidity, well integrated tannins, notes of wet forest, mushrooms, leather.

Terrific SB from Loire! In a warm vintage like 2020 this has achieved a wonderful balance of acidity, minerality and ripeness with delightful quince notes and white peaches dominating.
