  • I’m quite happy with the way this is progressing. Great producer and superb vintage is a good combo. I’m sorry to hear of some that have bottles that are in poor condition. Transit from Europe clearly matters with delicate wines. My case appears to be in good shape so far. Lots of complexity and a bit less fruit forward than many from this vintage. I’m a fan.

  • Upon opening, the nose had the over the hill quality. After a decant and 45 min breath, this really opened up. It's rich, almost full bodied, and still has a nice background tannin structure. I would say this is just past peak, but still outstanding.

EDIT....This is definitely on it's last legs. I just opened a 2015 Lumpp Givey premier cru and it blows it away. None of that mushroom nose. Drink up on the Joblot.

  • {Bought on release, #2 of 12, sound cork} served from cellar, too cold, nonetheless initially delicious, crisp red>>black cherry fruits, medium+ body, good finish. With time ... More of the same. Delicious. Wonderful breadth of palate,. Givry body & depth. When this wine is mature predict delicious, full wine that is an exemplar for newbies.
