10/12/2022 4:41:00 AM - Hey rthpal, I am using the browser for the first time and figured out how to write on the message board. Usually I use the application and could not find that option there. Anyways, thanks a lot for your message a while ago! :). Having met my partner in Melbourne Australia, who moved for me to Germany, I was very delighted to hear your story too. It has been a long time since you have been here the last time, I really do hope you may manage to come over and see Germany in better conditions now :). Currently, my favourite wines are rather new world style with noticable oak influence. I like it full bodied, at least moderate tannic and rather fruit forward. But currently, I am more so trying to explore as much as possible. If I had to pick, it would be Aussie Shiraz I think :)

10/6/2021 4:03:00 PM - Thanks for your message. See you love Bordeaux like I do. You live in Santa Barbara..great spot. A little full of LA snobs but still nice. We lived in San Diego most of our lives and son went to Cal Poly SLO so used to stop in Santa Barbara on our way going and back all the time. The traffic, cost and CA insanity finally got to me. My skiing has never been better. Take care.

10/6/2021 12:15:00 AM - In the best years there are some very interesting red wines to be found from Bergerac, next door to Bordeaux with a history that goes as far back, almost, as Bordeaux. They generally have some Malbec in them, not so often found in Bordeaux but one of the authorised grape varieties for claret.
