Too young even after an all day decant. Not a waste to open but certainly not giving the pedigree much due credit. Dusty cherry, leather, truffle, mineral, searing acidity and of course rustic tannins. This is old school Barolo that will require patience (10 plus more years is my guess). Potential to 95.

A delicious but youthful Barolo from a steep, east-facing MGA vineyard near Serralunga d'Alba. Clean, complex, with med (+) tart red fruit, ripe plum, roses, medicinal herbs, espresso and a fair amount of oak spice. Dry, tightly coiled, with med (+) acidity, pronounced tannins and high alcohol (14%). Full-bodied and broad-shouldered yet very well balanced, with intense flavors and a long finish. Needs an extended decant and/or three to five more years to show its best. Should last indefinitely thanks to its structure.

Tight and textured aromas with clear cherries, light raspberries, pink pepper and anise. Really deep and seductive. Pretty full-bodied, rich yet surprisingly fresh wine. Great fruit with sweet cherries, red currant peel, pepper and salt. Good softer tannin structure. Good finish. Want to drink young, but will enjoy a few years in the cellar as Well. Very good Ceretta. 92 points.

A Taste of Serralunga Dinner-La Festa del Barolo 2024 (Locanda Verde, New York): Also light red. Tobacco, soil, and more cherry fruit on the nose. Delicate but with some sneaky power. Inner mouth florality, licorice, a citrus twist, excellent acidity, and a long, earthy finish.

Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri Tasting (Bridgeport Arts Center - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Ripe and powerful throughout, with a more rugged start and finish, nicely rich in the middle. Cellar a decade+.
