Clear deep ruby; clean medium plus nose of forest floor after rain, cedar, blackberry, fresh figs and black plums; dry; high acidity; medium plus tannins; medium alcohol; medium body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of cocoa; long plus finish; do not drink - wait 5 or 10 years; still developing - score could go higher; saw it on the Frenchie list and couldn’t resist; definitely still a baby - a 1 hour decant only helped a bit

Opened at Noble Rot Mayfair. Slow-oxed already for a while before I got a glass.
No extensive notes, but I was very impressed with this. A theme throughout the bottles I tasted was that these really are a bit more serious than Charle's negoce wines, and that he has handled the heat of the vintage extremely well. Drinking well now but still a bit tight, even if very good. Will get better and I can see this inching up a point with enough time to properly get expressive.
Such a treat from Charles and the NR team. A real pleasure.

The hottest estate in Burgundy... Had followed the wines during transition and admired early steps by Lachaux, still do, but the prices and exclusivity are now absurd. This is very young so a bit hard to judge. Quite a dark red-purple in the glass, showing some riper notes, but fresh on the finish. There's good concentration here, but lacking some of the Vosne spice and elegance. It blossoms in the glass over 1 hr. The finish though never goes to that next level. To my taste, it doesn't drink any better (at this young stage) than similar peers whose wines you can get for half the price or less.
