Awkward at opening, this wine opened beautifully by minute 45. Honeydew melon, peach, starfruit, and flower petals. A bit of honey. Soft and pretty. In a nice drinking phase so long as you let it open and warm a bit.

2007 Chateauneuf-du-Pape tasting: The note below of Francophile1 is spot on. Comes across as quite Burgundian. There's great tension and amazingly pure fruit. Mineral driven, but with a healthy dose of butter. My favorite white from the tasting.

Loved the nose on this wine. Mineral driven and almost smells like a Grand Cru White Burgundy. I might call it Burg. if it had been served blind. However, the finish is what screams I am not from Burgundy because of the low acidity and petrol finish. This is a beautiful expression of Marsanne. Drink up!

Wine Night at TCC (Timuquana Country Club): This was a bit muted on initial impression. Seemed to open up a bit with the food and liked the pairing with the scallop. I know the 100% Marsanne to compare with the 100% Roussanne. I am more a fan of the later but this was decent with the food.
