DAY 1 👃Precocious yellow fruit & green apples, flinty minerality, & grassy herbals 👅Lemon oil + white pepper & spirited minerality. Rounded fruit. Salty. Great acidity. The oak treatment is spot on So good!
Remaining wine was Slow Decanted in my fridge with Vinloq Preservation
DAY 7 👃👅Glorious nose. White florals + peach. Flinty & expressive. Long dry mineral laced finish. Lovely on both occasions
I knew this was young but it is drinking really well 🥂

Drank in a lineup with '17 Hubert Lamy, Marc Colin, Joseph Colin and Ramonet, all from En Remilly.
The Lamy was the most elegant / austere of the four, with nice notes of lemon curd, butter, cream and more elegant oak use.
The Marc Colin was quite similar in style in this year, also on the elegant side.
The Joseph Colin and especially the Ramonet showed great intensity and power (but for my taste were too broad shouldered to be fully enjoyable). The Ramonet showed some reduction, and no typical fennel / spearmint notes.

La Paulée de Los Angeles - The Verticals (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Tasting. Magnum. Apple and lemon, still slightly tense and nervous but so much here. Great length.

Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills): Light tulip. Airy, herbal nose. Medium weight, wonderfully supple feel. Pear and soil atop a light base of oak. More convincingly mineral finish. Excellent and as it usually is, the classiest of the bunch.
