  (Blind verkostet) Gereiftes Granatrot, bräunliche Ränder. Weit entwickelte Nase, Maggikraut, die rote Frucht im Hintergrund. Im Gaumen trocknend, viel Gerbstoff, dezente Frucht, der Wein hat Ecken und Kanten, die Gerbstoffe trocknen aus, hier stimmt die Balance zwischen Frucht und Struktur nicht optimal. Austrinken.

  Drop-dead gorgeous; blindly, this could easily be mistaken for a Barolo. Youthful with only few hints of tertiary aromas (goudron) and a beautiful lift. Red currant, orange rind, white pepper and crushed stones come together in harmony. What a stunning 10 years old Langhe Nebbiolo, from the somewhat underrated 2012 vintage.

  Starting to peak. Volatile a bit high on this bottle and fruit is fading. Tannin not fully resolved yet but body is loosening. Wouldn't wait too long for the other bottles… 2-3 years top to enjoy at its best

  Revisiting this wine again, three years later. During the interval there has been additional softening of the tannin structure. Vibrant bright red fruit and a firm backbone of muscularity to the body. Seamless and balanced, there is so much to like here. Of the Langhe Nebbiolo level wines, this offering by G.Rinaldi as well as the Bartolo Mascarello are as good as it gets. You can taste the style and sheer winemaking craft with each sip. I suppose the difference between the two styles is that the G.Rinaldi has a little more body and weight, and the B.Mascarello tends toward elegance, with a touch more acidity in comparable years...but it's really close.

  Fantastisk Langhe. Forførende nese med nyperoser, roser, nyper og litt moreller. Polerte tanniner, bra syre og herlig balanse. Lang
