Best Langhe Nebbiolo ever. Typical Giuseppe Rinaldi by its lifted, red berries, rose peetals, a touch of green herbs, sweetness and elegance packed into one.

Vacation wines; 6/27/2023-7/6/2023 (Hotel Sonne, Partschins, IT): Glass: Spiegelau Universal Popped and poured, tasted completely blind. Clear, light garnet color. Classic, young Nebbiolo nose with some sweet fruit. On the palate fine and elegant with a nice sweet fruit and beautiful texture. Doesn't have the depth and complexity of a Barolo, but drinks nicely with a bright future of at least another decade. 91+

The ‘20 is a promising young Langhe Nebbiolo, although I didn’t find it quite as easy to drink as the 2021 tasted last week at the winery - hard to say if that’s due to the vintage quality or the difference in circumstances.
On the nose, I found lighter red berry fruits, fresh red roses, spices, and mint. On the palate, I found the 2020 surprisingly tannic and structured for a Langhe nebbiolo, suggesting the wine could benefit from a few years in bottle. As on the nose, it is a classic expression of light red fruit and red roses, with just a hint of the typical Rinaldi sweetness poking through at this point.
