Light ruby. Anise and dark fruit aromas. Light to medium weight. Really attractive juxtaposition of sour cherry and some underlying sweetness backed by wonderful acidity, soil, and salinity. Bracing and immensely satisfying.

Tasted over 2 hrs and day 2 -nearly semi-translucent med red violet -gentle cherry gamay -med acidity, med weight silky texture diffuse faded red fruit embedded in a soft wave of light earthy minerality and med tannins; bretty on day 2 -drinking well now and while most of the primary fruit is gone still has some tannins to shed and no overt mature notes so maybe a few more years will make it even more interesting

A lovely older Morgon. While fruit is beginning to fade a bit and the finish just slightly dry, the nose and attack arr still very inviting. Past it apex, still a nice drink. One to go and will not be waiting.

Lovely nose but I preferred this younger. Clean bottle out of magnum but just didn’t produce any fireworks and paled against some of the Burgundies on the table.

Definitely a hight quality Beaujolais. Good acidity, plenty of cherry, strawberry and raspberry notes. Despite its age, it still tastes young with a little funk. I would revisit in a couple of years and see.
