Probably the best pinot noir I’ve ever had . And I’m not a young guy. …Paired perfectly with rack of lamb. Great nose, jammy raspberry, cherries. Wow. Just terrific. A mouthful of fruit. Somewhat dry at finish that lasts …,

All I need to say is that we had a blind tasting of Pinot Noir amongst several couples. This wine was the favorite of most of the 8 people at the event—all of which are wine aficionados. The one from Willamette Valley came in second and we blew away the one from Burgundy. Judgement of Paris 2023!!!!

The dark marionberry fruit this showed two years ago has segued into a softer, warmer wine showing the ripeness of the vintage. There's a hint of iodine in the distance with cherry and spearmint, and notably none of the spice one hopes for from Russian River fruit. Nice enough but drink up, this isn't going to get better.

Maroon color, nothing particularly noteworthy about mouth feel. Red cherry fruit, a little baking spice, and a touch of mint and tarragon. Herbaceous in a good way. Light acidity on the finish, very light on the oak. Good food wine.
1/15/2023 For being one of the least expensive W-S offerings, this is a real bargain. Light and fruity up front, with some nice secondary notes and complexity as it finishes.
6/10/2023 The fruit is the real star here, not extracted or cooked, but just fresh cherry juice, a pleasant little green note from seeds and stems, and then a quick bright finish. Hearkens back to an earlier style of CA Pinot.
