Beautiful clarity . Pale with a hint of maturity. Very lively red sweet fruit with just a hint of decay. Great balance and vigour. 96’ acidity and structure has fallen away slightly to reveal sweet wild fruit. Weightless. A fine village. Best yet from case of 12. 4 left.

This pours transparent with medium bricking at the rim. The nose gently wafts autumn leaves, dark cherry, under ripe strawberrym grilled meat, cocoa powder, and a vague waft of cinnamon. Pretty classic Gevry note to this, but not terribly complex or aromatic. The palate has very high and hard acids, coupled with medium minus tannin. Quite difficult on the palate actually. I had much higher hopes for this bottle.

Tried another bottle after the oxidised one a week ago. Level nearly up to cork and colour bright with some rust at the rim. Initially a hint of oxidation but oddly that dissipated with time and then good mineral fruit some tertiary notes but good with food. I will drink up the rest over the next year.

Completely Oxidised. Very odd as from same case bought on release. Others have been fresh and young. Fill level and cork were both excellent. Will try another soon to find out if the wine has fallen off a cliff or it was just an odd bottle.

Good wine for a village. Tasting younger than it is. Open and expressive nose. Nice grippy fruits. Can still age for some time
