  Prompted by an I'll Drink to That podcast with Michael Moosebrugger (thanks Levi!), I opened this bottle with tonight's dinner. 7 years post release it has slimmed down, and now presents a primary mineral base, with overtones of apple and peach fruit. The balance is quite fine, and the finish is both salty and fruity. There's not much in the way of aged characteristics at this point. Rather the wine is drinking well in a very early maturity phase.

  Austrian Rieslings Part I (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Lush nose of cotton candy and mango. Not nearly as sweet or lush on in the mouth. Well balanced with nice weight and medium, lemony acidity.

  Light straw colour. Aromas of limette and limette peel, peach and sugar cane. On the palate very fruity with balanced acidity , fresh. Long, grapefruity finish with some bitterness.
