Mature Midrange Cabs; 12/30/2010-12/31/2010 (Northwoods): Very tight and not as giving as the 94 Hess Mt. Veeder also opened.
Slight on the nose but the fruit was faded and dead that comes from being corked. I recently had the 96 and usually very happy with this label.
Nose was very muted after a two hour decant. Palate showed dark fruits and an earthy undertone. Tannins firm, but ready to drink.
