This was once a great bottle of wine. Unfortunately, this bottle was oxidized. The cork was OKbt wine was cloudy and the nose oxidized, from one minute to 3 hours of air. Flavor was a lot better than the nose, but still, this needed to be consumed a couple of years ago.

Winorama: A winter in Wineland III; 1/4/2019-1/13/2019 (Portland/Willamette, Eureka, Napa): So there was a bit of a mixed view on this. To me it was a nice old barolo sitting next to a bunch of more intense wines (Napa and an Unico). I can see how the flavors in this in that context came through as a bit more acidic and muted. I think the bottle was good and it was just looking for more of the right pairing or combination (I had ordered pasta and it seemed to open up a bit more with that). Certainly it's a lot more secondary in nature. I appreciated it though.

Attractive aged notes, tar, earthy tones, some raisiny sweetness and supporting acidity, quite good.
