Incredibly outgoing wine with perfumed Vosne spice, loads of blue fruit, vintage stem, meaty notes and huge orange acidity. Decent on the palate but what a nose. 93

Popped and poured, 4 Richebourgs served single blind, and enjoyed over a 3 hour Euro lunch. The lineup was DRC 07 and 08, 07 Hudelot-Noellat, 08 Mongeard-Mugneret. I ranked this wine 4th.
I guessed this one blind, based on the toasty oak profile and some bretty elements that you sometimes get on the nose of M-M wines. The nose improved remarkably over the lunch btw, so give these some air. The palate was the richest of the 4 wines, with a somewhat 4 square, dense fruity flavor profile, probably the one wine you would guess is a Richebourg if they were served double blind. This shows good structure and lift on the finish, but was outclassed by the other wines today, as it lacks elegance and finesse.

Drank over 1 hour. Probably should have given this more time. Dense, red and black fruit. Serious white pepper on the palate and nose. I found it a bit off putting, but the weight and ripe fruit around it was enjoyable. Long, relatively tight finish.

Silky but just not great. For the price I would have expexted something spectacular. Le Tamarin.

Spicy spicy. Tons of white pepper and stem on the nose. Ultra bright purple crunchy fruit, concentrated flavor and super primary. Very nice.
