At the end of the day, it remains a Sauvignon Blanc. But it is singular, although maybe less noticeably in this vintage compared to 2015 which I found slightly more exotic. Petrol and grapefruit on the nose, grassy, with spearmint and tropical fruit, honeydew melon.. I was especially pleased with the acidity in 2016, nothing flabby at all.
This paired excellently with hamachi crudo and a green leaf salad with shallot vinaigrette.

Decanted. On the sweet side, yellow tropical fruit, passionfruit, petro, lime oil, stony, mineral. Much better on day five and onwards as it becomes clear and dimensional towards the back palate. Balanced acidity and very precise. 93-94
