Tasted double blind from a small capped bottle. Deeper than the 05 and 10 along side with very pretty nose - some honey, floral. Palate is crisp, pollen, florals, tart green apple, maybe a bit of peach. Salty minerals. A bit of lemon, bit of salty popcorn. Finish is tart and salty (would guess Chenin). Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 16/20.

Deep yellow color. Structurally more relaxed and less zingy than younger vintages, but still with plenty of granitic material. Superb pairing with oysters (of course), which brings out the wine's length and amplifies the rocky core.

Single blind tasting Pale gold Aromatics medium. Rock, wax, wool Palate medium +. Acid medium + with crescendo aspect. No phenolics. Yellow apple, salt, ripe lemons and minerals Finish has medium length. Rounded mouthfeel, but balance is towards the acid Dry glass notes of rocks and salt Can drink now, but despite the age still has the acid to cellar further

Pale gold color Medium minus aromas - wool/ wax and intense minerality with underlying cheese rind character - really no fruit at all on the nose Palate is another thing entirely - ripe lemon and grapefruit and intense salinity - linear mouthfeel but with nice rounded edges Medium plus acidity which really crescendos in a Chenin Blanc fashion Medium alcohol and no noted phenolic bitterness Nice long finish - wow Dry glass aromas of dry rocks and salt I personally find few wines which give me such pleasure at this price - aged Muscadet has to be one of the most underrated drinking experiences out there Drinking very well now, but with really NO signs of oxidation, I can see this going forever

Out of magnum, didn't take a note, but man was this fresh, complex and intense. Not even close to tired. Truly amazing Muscadet.
