Garnet color and nose of dark cherry, baked plum, earth. Solid fruit, integrated tannins, notes of leather, graphite. Beautiful now and likely for some time.

Enjoyed this bottle alongside '10 Pahlmeyer and '13 Peter Michael Les Pavots. This wine has nice structure and seem to be in a great drinking window, where it will remain for some time. Wonderful bright red fruit - cherries / raspberries. Served with Beef Bourguignon. Decanted for 1 hr. My #2 of the evening. WOTN was the '10 Pahlmeyer, which is drinking wonderfully right now.

Purchased and enjoyed at Archie’s Waeside, LeMars, IA (great steaks!). Decanted. The wine was chameleon, changed a lot over an hour or two. Initially aroma was very expressive green pepper, violets, spice. Pepper notes subsided, became darker fruit, and fruit dominant, less forward. Late evening culinary herb, tabac. Nicely balanced entry and smooth tannin gave way to a fairly linear mid palate, dominated by acid. Good tannin and paired well with rich steak, but never felt like the acid was fully integrated. Carried the alcohol (14.6) well until end of night at home when seemed hot. Overall enjoyed the wine but for the money disappointed in the experience.

Had against a basic Jordan Alexander Cabernet. This wine had so much more strength, depth, and elegance. Black and red fruit. Mild but medium finish

One hour decant and this bottle shined brilliantly. Notes similar to my prior note.
