Pop and pour. 45 minutes of air (not decanted) did wonders for this. Very fruit-forward upon opening, time let the flavors mellow-out. The fine-grained tanins found during earlier bottles (a year+ ago) have joined the fruit to create a very pleasant wine. This can still go for a few more years, sadly this was my last bottle.

Tasted April 16, 2008. Opened and served immediately. Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of tar, mixed dark fruits, a bit of potpourri and a dash of white pepper. Flavors of currants and black cherries. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Drink or hold.

Pop and pour, then consumed over 2.5 hours. Needs a bit of air to hit its stride. Blue and black fruits really pop in your face, and then mellowed out with exposure. Found this a little "chunky" with fine grained tanins.

This one was ready to rock straight out of the bottle. Much better than when tasted last October. I'm getting a lot of chocolate and plum. Very rich fruit. Smooth tannin on the back end. Finishes sweet with some hints of dried sage. Revisited 2 days later... was still going strong. Fans of fruit-forward cabernet franc would probably enjoy this (90-92)

Opened but not decanted and allowed to sit for an hour. This actually was named by 3 of 4 blind tasters as the 2002 Quilceda.
