Pretty muddled and unimpressive at first, but it continued to take on weight and pick up delineation and clarity over time and was drinking very well after a few hours.

From a perfect looking bottle, this wine showed a deep red center with some oranging at the rims. The medium+ intensity nose developed nicely to show red fruits, mocha, yellow spices, and some soil.
This wine was quite firm at first and took 4 hours of air before it gradually became more open. It had a very soft and supple exterior texture but with firm, almost spiky, acidity. The tannins were moderate and round. After another 2 hours the acidity rounded out and the fruit became richer. I didn't think that this would happen, but it did. This is an attractive wine that should benefit from another 5 to 10 years of cellar age. Alternatively, give it 7 hours of air!

Dark red color with dark red fruit nose but the wine is post peak by a few years, palate pretty much empty.

Beautifully earthy nose and nice tart acidity. Not very experienced with red burgs but this was delicious
