tasted from a 0,375 Bottle. Blackberry and blackcurrant as well as something sweet on the nose, medium complexity on the palate, concentrated beautiful dark fruit, cedar wood, soft, integrated silky tannins, elegant, juicy, some coffee, sweet nuances on the finish, still in good condition but perfect to drink now with a 1 hour decant.

A stark improvement over my last bottle 16 months ago. Gave this 6+ hours of air and the nose was a real gem, ranking the nose by itself I would even give this 94-95. Cabernet laden black fruit, cassis, vanilla, black licorice, plum and tabacco. Everything super precise. The palate while less impressive than the nose shows a similar fruit profile, everything in nice balance, medium plus tannins and acidity. Oak is well integrated. Seems to be entering its prime drinking window, but I would have no concerns leaving bottles horizontal for another 10 years.

Time to drink it (my cellar is right humid and with a cool quite stable temp). I did decanted half of the bottle 3/4 of an hour in advance. As a result the nose was (to) discrete. Notes of leather, of prunes marmalade. When tasting the 2nd half f the bottle that was not decanted, the nose was significantly more intense. Length is good but I am not blown up by this wine, definitely not a Ducru-Beaucaillou (of course...), not a Gloria either.
It evolved and I definitely taste it has peaked and begins now to evolve to tertiary aromas. I wouldn't wait longer. Rgds from Brussels.

From magnum. Typical, yet enjoyable Saint Julien. Fruit is a little thin, but still balances with cedar, tobacco, lather on the palate. Lovely nose.
