Typical Bordeaux. Young, this one, lots of fruit and flavor. Tremendous quality and full of potential. Absulotely drinkable right now, but also ageable for another decade. Buy!

Inky dark crimson in colour. Very fresh nose showing plums violets and cassis from the glass. Medium bodied with luxurious velvety tannina. It has a bright purple fruited core with a hint of oak and plenty of fresh acidity and a bit of grip. Showcasing the opulence of 2019 and in a lovely place although clearly a young wine and would be interesting to try in another few years.

Notes of vanilla, herbs, pencil lead and prunes. Tannin character is medium-plus with a slight astringency. Acidity is sharp, which is not unexpected at this young age. Overall, its a young Bordeaux, I would wait a couple of years before trying another one to allow the acidity and tannins to soften.

Everything JENSAGO said but I found the smokey/toasty notes more subdued and the tannins less drying that she noted now that I drinking this on the last month of the year. I do live in Malaysia and bought this off the shelf, so the temperature might have sped aging up a bit.
Could sense some truffle and minerals in the medium finish. Really nice quality, elegant wine. Understated power. Great stuff!
A followup on my previous tasting...In my usual and curious fashion, when I am so moved by a wine like this, I run out and buy a test bottle or 2....This is the first test bottle and EVERYTHING STANDS. Find this and enjoy it...I will assume that at some point, this (X-Lalande-Borie) will be consolidated into the grand vin.
