Drank with a cowboy ribeye at Shula's Lake Buena Vista. Had them decant at cellar temp 2 hours pre-dinner, and the wine sat for about another hour table side before drinking. Continued to open over fourth hour. Still very vibrant and fresh, dark red berries, dust, plenty of acidity to balance steak. Drinking great but probably still a few years from declining.

Classic, aged, Rutherford Cabernet. Deep ruby red in the glass. A bit opaque but that’s attributable to age. Ripe berry and floral notes on the nose. On the palate, understated blackberry, blueberry, leather, a hint of mint and that classic Rutherford dust. Medium bodied, nicely balanced, well integrated tannins and a medium, earthy finish. Classic product from Freemark.

This was excellent tonight. Decanted for 5 hours and kept at cellar temp. Sweeter dark and red fruit, tobacco, vanilla, roast bell pepper, olive, cellar mold, and a touch of charcoal. nice acid to carry the wine through a meal. This should keep for a while but it is ready to drink now

Found this the least approachable of a flight which included FA Josephine and Bosche of the same vintage. Medium garnet color. Quite clear. Rather an earthy nose with the same earthy characteristics reflected on the palate. I have had many vintages of this and expect lots of bright fruit with a hint of mint and cola. What came forward in this bottle was tobacco, minerality and forest floor. Wine was fine, tannins still in evidence. Just wasn't what I expected. Will attribute to bottle variation.

Smooth tannins. Elegant structure. Fruit still present but balanced with some slate and depth. Long finish. Excellent now.
