Bright straw colour. Soft on the nose. Lovely aromas of jasmine, white petals, yellow citrus. On the palate, focused sweetness and a beautiful roundness that one doesn't often experience except in blends that look beyond the core of the three main grape varieties. This has verve and structure and sweetness and acidity. Drink over the next 5 years.

Light gold in colour, with a moderate bead that dissipates rather quickly. On the nose, honey, lemon peel, tangerine, grated ginger, decaying red apple, toast, spice, and hint of mushroom, caramel and a touch of garbage juice. On the palate, this is round with moderate dosage (reportedly 12 g/L), medium plus acidity. The finish is relatively long, with tastes of lemon zest, mineral, baked apple, salted caramel, grapefruit, spice and yeast. This bottle seemed a touch advanced for its age, but if representative, I wouldn't age this for too long.

The Wine Nerds do Christmas Dinner (Dave' Place - Kitchener, ON Canada): Popped and poured. Followed over 20 minutes. A bit of an odd musty, decaying organic matter note is central to the nose. Also, fresh mushroom, candied lemon peel, underripe pineapple, slightly bruised apple and pastry notes. There is quite a bit of ripe fruit and touches of maturity starting to show. Palate has quite low dosage which feels like 5 or 6 grams of RS with very high biting acid which was almost a bit too much for me. A touch bitter on the finish as well. I like my champagne mature so I might appreciate this more in a few years.

Really fine mousse... Nose is really pure....candied ginger, lemon, biscuit, mineral, white flowers and honey. Palate is really lush but balances this well with mineral, lemon and lime flavours that are augmented by white peach, spice, honey, ginger and green apple. Velvety texture...drinking so well now but I would love to see where this goes. Finish is long, round and quite complex. Very fine.

A delightful bottle! Mine disgorged July 2013. Apple and apple pastry (baked pastry with brown spices) were the predominant palatal elements. Floral elements noted by all three tasters were light and ephemeral, notably on the finish. One found the finish short, but another found the finish very mineral in nature, very much like tonic water. A fine acidity aided the wine, very clean and etched. Medium weight but heavy extract and intensity. This bottle was chilled for 2 hours only. That was plenty, more would only numb this wine. The bottle was unique and delicious and worth the tariff.
