  • Was thinking it was going to be pre-moxed, but it was not. Lovely, Chablis with shells and curdy fruit, and just a great balance. Got 2 more in the wings.

  • Not so impressive
    Only some stable rice wine smell.
    I prefer newer 1er cru from this domaine

  • Tasted double blind. Very aromatic, very creamy. Florals, spicy, pollen, shells and iodine? Some tropics fruits, smoky, chalky. palate shows somewhat burly, rich and some Fruit and tropical on the entry and then really minerally and Shelly. Much better very cold - and that way it is really excellent.

    I had trouble nailing this because it had both crisp acidic and lush fruity/tropical aspects but decided to take a note and look for descriptors so I did and got Shells and got Chablis and guessed 09. Not bad.

    And other pour cold - classic shells and iodine, super deep. With Tons of reserves salty minerality with a hint of lemon and some verbuena - white florals. Deep and potent on the palate. Lemon curd, a bit of creme, shells minerals. Long salty finish with lemon and lemon curd. Delicious and screaming. Thanks Sam! Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 18/20.

  • Robe jaune dorée;
    Nez ample, expressif, d'abord sur les pommes mûres... se transforment avec le temps et laisse place à des notes de fruits à chaires blanches. Une petite pointe citronnée, une touche florale & saline complètent le bouquet. Semble gagner en définition avec le temps.
    Bouche ample & légèrement grasse en attaque, devient plus tendu par la suite. Principalement sur des notes citronnées & salines. Relativement long. Légère touche crémeuse en arrière plan. Finale salivante.

  • pale gold color; in great condition with no signs of age in the appearance. a pretty nose of limestone and white stone fruit. a chiseled acidity gives this lively tension to the lemon curd fruit. there is a pleasant bitterness - perhaps just a hint of burnt butterscotch that could spell the very first inning of premox? overall this was terrific!
