This continues to strike me as a strange wine, and I'm not sure I fully understand it. Drunk immediately after the 2009 Bianchetta Genovese, this was comparatively muted, with a yeasty and oxidative nose. The palate suggested a wine slightly over the hill—no fruit, little acid—but it's possible the accompanying food (cacio e pepe) made for a difficult pairing. At $66 off a restaurant list, this was a worthy experiment, but I wouldn't repeat it. Rated 0 on a scale of -1 to 3.
