Delicious, terrific wine from Cinque Terre. I admit to buying this somewhat for nostalgic reasons because I wanted to remember a trip to that beautiful place (apparently now too overrun with tourists, alas). It really did taste like the terroir - as others have described, a salty briny quality that shapes the apple, pineapple kind of fruit taste. The story of how this particular wine is produced is amazing, from the ridiculously steep slopes and the hand-picking of the grapes. I'd buy a case if I could. Nice to have around, especially to pair with seafood. My bottle could have used some breathing - got better once it was open for an hour or two. Good chilled well, but there's lots of flavor here so not too cold.

Just some kind of wonderful -- sort of starts out like its going to take you to SB with its tropical, pineapple smell and then goes coastal with salt and brine and depth on the palate. Fascinating stuff.

Juicy, texture, saline, beautiful. Served warm but all right there.

Great aromatics from this wine. Apple, pear and a little petrol. Mid to heavy weight.
