  Started out tannic but with food it opened up, medium to heavy body, good fruit, nice sipping as we got to the end of the bottle, nice but slightly alcoholic bouquet, would drink again. Drank with veal rib chops.

  Very good Barolo, drinking well. Cherry and earth flavors, nice structure, medium bodied and smooth.

  3 years has definitely helped this wine since I tasted it last. In 2011 it was completely shut down, in my opinion. Now, it was opening up for business with great cherry notes, red licorice, spice, and still firm tannin. No rush on this as I'd imagine the tannin still has time to soften, but right now with a few hours open it's all coming together in a classic Barolo profile.

  Great full body, great tanin and character. Had roasted chicken with Sicilian herbs roasted tomato, baby broccoli and polenta.
