Golden yellow, I feared this was DOA when poured. While clearly past its peak, wine retains a vibrancy and energy. Nose is somewhat floral with some rich almond elements, almost marzipan. Similar flavor profile with good fruit. Finish particularly shows its age. Colder temp masked the age better than when the wine was warmer. I'd never consider this prematurely oxidized because I wouldn't really have expected many 98s to last this long.
