Delightfully unexpected!!! Frankly a perfect Brunello that showed every element of grace. Exceptional floral immediately upon opening which translated into a lucious garnet ruby red. Continued to improve with time including overnight in the fridge. Exceptional +++ surprise.

The cork is still intact and shows the bottle was kept in good condition. Cork is soaked halfway through. Garnet red color with no sediment. I picked up cherry and plum from the nose.
On the palate is quite acidic. Not much fruit left and quite singular. After the wine warms up in the glass in an hour it starts to show some sour cherry fruit. Still enjoyable but becomes boring quickly.
I think this wine has passed its prime. Drink up.

Bottle, fill and cork all excellent. A classic Brunelllo from a great estate. Tight and monolithic when first opened - this needs 2 hours in the decanter to really shine and it delivers: leather, earth, blackberry and Italian earth with a strict backbone. Really shines with food and handles tomato well (a Sangiovese strength).

Cherry fruit, slight spice, slight balsamic on the finish. Perhaps given too much to secondary development. Better with food. Still enjoyable. Cork soaked near through. Short finish but some nice balance.

Doesn't seem to have been stored badly as this still has a bright ruby color, but it's muddled and just-plain uninteresting to drink.
