Bought this bottle 4 weeks ago at the tasting shop of the Conti Costanti winery for an enormous price tag. The wine is still good and well drinkable. It still is a good Brunello but for this kind of money (around 100€, I think) one finds stuff (especially in Montalcino!) that is a lot better.
Forest, dark berries, plums, a bit meaty. Not a great finish unfortunately.

In a very nice place. A few hours air yields rich, bloody, irony fruit that is still enticingly sweet in its core. Very dusty and earthy on the nose, married to the sweet fruit and ferrous richness of the palate makes this very attractive. Drinking well now with plenty of time left.

Consistent with previous bottles. Developing brothy, shiitake mushroom, leather aromas, with deep if slightly subdued dark blackberry and sour cherry fruit, some old wood notes. Tannins not yet resolved but rounded and unwinding. Took about an hour to come around and then drank well until the bottle was finished. Solid. If you've got a few of these you should definitely be getting into them at this point.

No great depth in this bottle, but a fine vein of sour cherry with moderate sweetness and some minerality running through it. Nice.
