We brought this to dinner at Marcel's. As usual, the food was outstanding, but this wine was the best part of the evening. I love Leflaive and expected the wine to be excellent, but it exceeded my high expectations. It had an entrancing bouquet, a complex melange of fruity and floral that in itself gave pleasure, but which also almost compelled you to take a sip. Sweet fruit on entry. Very complex, with good structure -- full-bodied without being heavy. Overall, in the mouth the wine was richer than usual even for a good white burgundy, but still crisp and refined. I'm not great at picking out individual flavors in a wine, and I suspect some wine writing is mostly hyperbole anyway, so suffice it to say the wine was delicious. But the finish was the most extraordinary thing about this extraordinary wine -- it lasted and lasted, one of the longest finishes I've experience in a white wine. In summary, a great wine, just about as good as white burgundy gets, and virtually grand cru quality. Given the structure and Leflaive's track record, I suspect this wine will last quite a while longer, but there's no reason to wait -- it's fully mature, and I don't see how it could get better than it is today.

Sharp, fresh, very clean. Subtle smoke over young and crisp white orchard fruit. Super light in the glass. Fine and linear palate too, but with moderate depth behind it. Really helped illustrate the premature oxidization on the ‘09 in the next glass, which I thought was slight. A good look at what Leflaive can achieve with premiere crus if everything hold up correctly. 92-93.

Super acidic. Bright. Buttery. Thick legs. More fruit forward than mineral and flint. Not overpowered by oak. Nice. Shared by KT

Acker 2019/05 (Zuma): This is trying to be serious, yet clearly reconditioned due to the lack of continuity. Otherwise, a precise Leflaive. 92
