  • Pale gold. Med complexity on the nose. Smokey minerality. Med oak. Sulfur. Especially prominent in the mouth. Rich and velvety with a long finish. Med+ acid. A well executed wine. But I’m not sure if it suits my personal palate?

  • This is superb; no signs of a warm vintage, this has excellent acidity and a very precise structure. It is all about lemon and butter, right now, there are layers here waiting to be revealed.

  • This wine was spectacular. Classic Leflaive. Could not get my nose out of the glass. Classic mixture of nut, wood and floral on the nose. Beautiful mineral and fruit and palate. Long finish. Loved this wine.

  • It is not often I get my hands on a bottle of premier cru from Domaine Leflaive, but restaurant Smak in Tromsø (Norway) has a very good selection, and at a reasonable price. This wine is, of course, very young at the moment, but still it is just delicious. Brigth straw colour with a greenish hue. Opening up in the glass, revealing notes from lime and sweet citrus, next up are aromas of spices (cardemom and ginger), then - after almost 2 hours - exotic aromas of oak (vanilla, dry wood) emerges. Full bodied, almost sweet in the first attack on the palate, then a bracing acidity cleansing the palate, finally giving room to a finish with notes of sweet citrus/lime, tropical fruit, vanilla, and minerals (iron). Just keeps on developing aroma and taste. Very long and fresh aftertaste with clear mineral and spicey tones. This is world class wine!

  • Goldenish yellow, decanted 2-3 hours and followed over 3 more.
Initially it was lemon/pear/green apple, well balance with nice acidity. Delicious!
5 hours in it gets a gorgeous honeyed tone. really intoxicating to smell. Lovely..
