This wine has changed a lot. It has lost its baby fat and is a middle aged beauty. Big structure. Some oak, yellow fruits, some lemon curd, dry extract. Good acidity with a fresh finish.

Acker JK 51st birthday in NYC. A little oaky nose, the fruit being quite yellow, quite intense. There is excellent sap, almost oily, the fruit profile is all yellow fruits, not very typical Chevalier. Plenty of muscle behind, no chiselled finish but very good concentration. Not racy enough for its pedigree nevertheless very enjoyable for its hedonistic qualities.

'99 Red Burgundy Tasting: Delicious! At peak with great cut and minerality, with air it greatly expands with more depth and nuance. Drink now and over the next couple of years.

Starting to evolve with some secondary notes and losing it's baby fat. A touch of oak, cream, mineralogy, lemon. Rich, Nice depth and balance.
