This is just starting to show its vast potential. Delicately floral start with so much orchard fruit. Everything follows through on a muscular palate, begrudgingly showing its charm to start, then mostly forthcoming an hour+ later. This kept opening and expanding with more time in glass. Great potential.

This is my drops of god wine. Its what got me into burgundy particularly white burgs. I can still remember the ambience when i first tasted it. Really felt like time stopped for a second and took me somewhere else. This is a microclimat within chevalier montrachet so i can understand why its so unique. Tasting notes is honestly not important for these kinda bottles. Just need to work hard and make money to afford lol

Decanted for ~3+hrs before we came round to pouring/serving this. Wow, this was showing very well from the get-go. Scents of white-flowers/florals, lemons, popcorn spewed from the glass without much coaxing. Intense, weighty with tension kept well in check by freshness. There was a "well-discernable line" to how this flowed over our palates, as one of our fellow dining friends put it, that guesses after that zoomed onto a Chevalier, and indeed it was. This definitely put on a great showing, and bottle-variations aside, this will continue to gain complexity and improve with more cellar age!

The one with Madame Leroy (Bar a Thym): Starting off the evening immensely well. This was showy to the extent of being flamboyant. Jasmine flowers, popcorn, yellow peaches, wax, lemn oil and starfruit dominating both bouquet and palate. Grand cru territory quite easily with the oak, density and length. Great level of precision with fine minerality and crisp acidity with a lengthy finish. Always wanted to try a Chartron Chevalier and it came from my favourite white vintage!

A little advanced with some bruised apple showing on the nose. The palate is linear and structured, with plenty of underlying chalk.
