Birthday Dinner (Walnut Creek, Ca.): Second bottle from my cellar, opened very slowly, big intense merlot fruit on the nose with hints of mushrooms, mouth drying rich, starting to round out, intense, fruity taste in the mouth, long, big fruity, acid finish, needs three years to peak. One taster thought it the wine of the night. my birthday present to myself. Three of us rated this the second best wine of the night.
