Nose is beautifully aged Bordeaux. A whiff of marshmallow. A bit acidic. Herbs and spices. Not really any fruit left. Long finish. Past it's time but still very special. Tasted at Duckhorn 40th harvest party.

Fenestra and Duckhorn Tasting (Walnut Creek, Ca.): Nose shows age. berry fruit, and opened steadily to rich fruit, mellow fruit on the palate, touch simple, nice, long finish. My #5 of 6 and Group #2 of 6.

At home with K and Miranda at dinner (seashell marinara with tuna). Big, deep, dark ruby color. Very viscous. Tons of fruit in a very deep nose. Screams out fruit! fruit! Ripe and almost grapey. Palate is big, tannic and ponderous. Beginning to come around, I think, but still huge. 5-10-14-7: 86/100.

Past peak, but plenty of plum flavor. Enjoyable.
