Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • Slow-ox 45 minutes, tasted over 3 hrs; bottle from secondary market, cork soaked through
    -lighter red mild bricking
-moderately aromatic faint cherry stewed tomato mature element
-med+ acidity, med- weight faded crunchy red fruited cherry and raspberry with good verve moderately sappy and transparent, OK complexity, med- tannins and a prickle of acidity lift the finish
-very nice and early on its maturity plateau with plenty of life left

  • Aromas of earth, forest floor and pine. Rather intriguing but not expected. Flavors of sour cherry and earth. Very solid, and not in a very good place right now. It's lost its youthful strawberry/cherry fruit without having developed much else (yet). Good.
