  • Prior bottle was almost to-the-day two years ago and the wine has exceeded expectations, taking a clear, positive step forward in that time. Intense white peach, white apple and mineral/floral notes on the nose. A bit above medium bodied with crystalline white peach upfront, then some white apple and through the middle, beautiful white pineapple. The peach and apple notes develop more intensity and complexity through the middle as they are blended with the white tropical notes (mango and passion fruit in addition to the pineapple). Very lively, nearly electric acidity on the backside along with tart citrus provides the contrast and backbone with the mineral notes, lemon and more tart lime on the lengthy finish. This wine has depth, complexity, beautiful fruit and excellent acidity. And it's still mainly a whitefruit showing at this stage. Fruit should eventually start to show yellowfruit qualities and additional richness, but there's enough acidity to continue to provide balance. I will certainly be on the lookout for additional bottles as this wine has years to go and room for additional, positive evolution. A "WOW" bottle for sure.

  • Same as last bottle. Sort of meh. I might just chalk it up to 2011.

  • A strong late entry to "wine of the year" for me, at least in sheer pleasure. All muskmelon, honey, white peaches with impeccable balance. Just couldn't stop drinking it.

  • Honey-glazed lemons. Hints of petrol and fresh rain.
Still seems like it has many years of life left.

  • Enjoyed this at Wild Ginger in Seattle. They have a great Riesling list. Popped and poured. Honey and peaches. Very sweet. Subtle acidity that provides excellent balance. Long finish
