A lot different than last tasting. At opening it had almost a hint of VA with clear bottle development. Not at all as fresh as last tasting (February 2021). Very complex, though, but better drinking on day 2-3.
Aromas of dark cherries, barnyard, forest floor, eucalyptus, leather, and sweet tobacco.
Nicely integrated tannins and a quite long finish.
Drink last year or hold for another 5-7 years.

Light garnet. Nose of cherry & herbs.
Light/medium body. Fresh acidity and well integrated tannins that still have a gentle grippiness. Balanced, elegant and complex. Nice long finish.
Initially PnP but opened up with a decant.

Tuscan wines of North London (Terra Rossa): Viola Gorelli told me a couple of weeks ago that she really likes this vintage, and I can see why! She also commented that, due to the estate's altitude, they tend to do well in warmer vintages. The wine was ripe-ish with sufficient acidity, giving and approachable, with the flavour of summer pudding... all in all, wonderfully hedonistic.
