A rather green and relatively muted nose. On the palate there is tremendous poise. The oak is beautifully integrated but it's the wild blackberry detail and silky elegance that really shines. There's a hint of herbaceousness on the palate but this is actually rather voluptuous for a 2011. Drink now and over the next 10 years.

Medium dark translucent ruby. Subtle but packed nose of pine forest, musky violets, red berry, dense soil, acrid iron. Layers of poised, buoyant red raspberry fruit undergirded by extremely fine-grained iron and earth. Firm, molecular tannin and vibrant acidity. Longer finish of powdery, iron-inflected coppery fruit grounded in deep soil. Youthful and full of promise.

Red fruit: cranberries and some cherries, spices and a nice pack of saline notes. There is also soil and nearly no green 2011 elements. Well made and fun to drink.

Side by side the better 00 and 07 today a notch below my last experience, maybe just the context of the other vintages. Not clearly green, rather soft high pitched cranberry with a bit of oak and a tiny bit "faible" and citric finish. For the vintage very good.

Opened and decanted, this had a lovely nose of strawberries, violets and fresh spring flowers. Lovely smooth on palate with mild tannins present. This was delicious but could be a tad longer on the finish. The 2010 was clearly the more complete wine in every sense.
